How to store dry fruits so they actually stay fresh

Dry fruits don’t spoil quickly, but they do go stale — the oils oxidise and the flavour flattens. A few habits keep them tasting new.

Decant into an airtight glass jar, keep it somewhere cool and dark, and only refrigerate in very humid weather. Buy in sensible quantities and finish within a few months. That’s really all there is to it.
