Every autumn we spend a few days with the families who grow for us. The work is slow, manual, and done mostly at dawn before the heat sets in.

We buy direct so the grower keeps more of the price, and so we can see exactly how each batch is handled — from tree to tray to the cooperative that sorts it. No middlemen, no mystery.
